Former World Champion elected President in Moscow
Former world super heavyweight bodybuilding champion Oleg
Makshantsev has been elected new President of the Moscow
Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation. Changing of the top
officials was done in a fully democratic manner, in a secret
ballot carried out at the Electoral Congress of this
organization.
Makshantsev, 40, was born in Moscow. He started his competitive
career in 1994, at age of 24. After winning many national and
international titles, he turned pro and took part in a couple of
professional events in Europe and United States. He quit the
sport career in 2007and started business activity. Currently he
is the General Manager of the Proline MSN food supplement
company Russian division.
In his first interview after election, Makshantsev declared that
Moscow Federation activity should be more effective and better
organized. His aim is to make Moscow Federation the strongest
regional federation in Russia. To achieve this goal, the best
athletes are necessary. ”Athletes spend their last money to
prepare for the contests. They deserve for appropriate money
awards. We will do our best to increase the awards at our
championships , not only at some unofficial shows. We will try
to get new sponsors from among companies tied with our sports,
but not only. There are a lot of powerful companies in Moscow,
so I hope they will positively reply to our offer.” – told new
President. And this new offer has already been completed.
