STARS OF THE 2010
EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS DONETSK
There were 20 category
winners at the 2010 European Juniors and Masters Championships
recently held in Donetsk, Ukraine. Some of them are already
well-known stars, some are stars of the future. Have a closer look
on some of them.

Olga Stepyna – young,
20 years old, fitness star, student at the University of Economics
in Dnepropetrovsk. Former high-level competitive gymnast.
Outstanding elegance of every move, precision, flexibility, perfect
technique. Also tries to work as a photo model. Her sport dream: to
be the European women champion.

Adela Ondrejovicova –
junior bodyfitness over 163 cm and overall champion. Student at the
Trencin University in Slovakia. She is 20 years old and this event
was her inaugural performance at the international level. Almost
perfect overall body proportions and body lines, fuller, nicely
shaped muscles. All bodyparts beautifully harmonized: calves,
thighs, lats, shoulder width. The real discovery of her trainer
Pavol Jarabek.

Liana Pall – European
junior women’s bodybuilding champion. Repeated her success from 2009
but this time it was a completely different athlete: matured, with
shaped, bigger and harder muscles. Her low and massive lats create,
with narrow waist, perfect “V”-taper upper body. She is 20 years old
and studies at the Physical Education University in the Romanian
city of Sibiu. Congratulations to her trainers: Ioan Curtean i Felicia
Popa.

Denis Avlasenkov –
continental champion in juniors bodybuilding up to 75 kg class. 21
years old weight training instructor at the “Elite” Gym in
Kaliningrad, Russia. Winner of the 2010 Cup of Russia in Krasnodar.
Physique of the genuine bodybuilder, with perfect shoulders to waist
proportions. Short lumbar section and longer legs. We can trust that
his trainer Roman Ovchinnikov will make him a champion in men’s 70
kg division. Currently his bodyweight is 68 kg at 167 cm height.

Mykhailo Itchenko –
junior bodybuilding heavyweight (over 75 kg) and overall winner. For
sure, he is an athlete with tremendous potentials, with fantastic
overall physique contours and harmonized muscular development. His
bodyweight in Donetsk was 108 kg. He is 20 years old and studies at
the Chernigov State University of Technology. This bodybuilding
“diamond” has been polished by trainer Arseniy Melenevskiy.

Tetyana Mikheychyk –
well-known Ukrainian champion with longer competitive history,
performing in bodybuilding mixed pairs (current European champion)
as well as in masters bodyfitness (3rd place at the 2009
Championships in Baia Mare, Romania). Low-fat, hard body, with
visible separation in abs and thigh’s area was her main weapon in
the battle for the continental title. She works in the position of
Director of the Nika Tour Travel Agency in the far east Ukrainian
city of Lugansk. She is 37 years old and is trained by Oleg
Krandiyevskiy.

Taavi Koovit is a
classic bodybuilding champion, successful in men’s division as well
as in masters division. He was the 2009 European Men’s Championships
winner in over 180 cm tall class and 2010 continental runner-up as
well. It isn’t a surprise that he unanimously won the masters title
in his inaugural performance in this age division in Donetsk.
Showing full, hard and well-defined muscles he impressed the judges
and the audience. He lives in Tallinn, Estonia, working as a trainer
in “Sparta” Gym.

Stephen Graham won the
gold medal for United Kingdom in masters 40-49 age, up to 80 kg
class. Stephen has been performing since 2005 but has never entered
the continental or world championships finals before. Now he could
participate in the masters division for the first time and he was
immediately successful. He displayed very proportional physique with
balanced muscularity and top conditions. He lives in a small town
Ballymoney in Northern Ireland and by profession is a mechanical
engineer. He is trained by Dr. E. Serrano.

Anatoliy Kudlay –
winner of the over 90 kg in masters 40-49 age division. He is a top
master bodybuilder of the world, winner of the overall title at the
2007 World Masters Championships. His overall muscle size and
quality are very impressive. His fantastic back development and
details are rare even in the men’s division. His bodyweight was 108
kg. He is 43 years old, lives in Dnepropetrovsk and is trained by
his wife Tatyana.

Werner Zenk –
bodybuilding champion in the masters up to 80 kg category, age
50-59. He won bronze medal at the 2003 World Men’s Championships and
was the champion of the 2005 World Games, finishing ahead of the
world champions: Igor Kocis and Corrado Maggiore. He repeated his
2009 success, showing in age 56 prefect body condition and wonderful
body lines.

Inigo Ortiz de Mendibil
– continental masters champion in over 80 kg class, 50-59 age
division. He has began his competitive career in 1987 but then had a
break between 1990 and 2007. He won his category unanimously, ahead
of the Worlds runner-up Antonio Vergiani. By profession, he is a
technician but currently works as a bodybuilding instructor in the
Spanish city of Bilbao. |
